We all live in a watershed! A watershed is an area that drains to a common waterway, such as a stream, lake, estuary, wetland, aquifer, or even the ocean. Our individual actions can directly affect it. Working together using a watershed approach will help protect our water resources. Here is Orange County, NY we have 7 major watersheds comprised of dozens of subwatersheds. OCWA, the County of Orange and others have researched and developed Plans to help conserve and protect some of these watersheds and subwatersheds.
