Background: The Northeast Orange County Water Feasibility Study completed in 2010 presents the results of a technical and economic assessment performed by the OCWA and its consultants. This Study evaluated the feasibility of constructing a regional water treatment facility that would serve the multiple municipalities in the northeast section of the county and would provide a sustainable return on investment for all involved parties. The information obtained from this Study provides the foundation for implementing the preferred regional water supply option, i.e., the implementation initiative will ultimately lead to a Facility Plan, a financial implementation strategy and a Basis of Design Report for the preferred alternative.
